Child Safety Standards
1. Our zero-tolerance commitment
Cosmic Circle prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation in every form. We do not allow any content, conduct, profile, message, or connection on the Service that sexualises, endangers, or exploits a minor. Violations result in immediate removal of the content, termination of the account, and — where the law requires — reporting to the relevant authorities. This standard applies to every user and every feature, with no exceptions.
2. Definitions
- CSAE — Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation: any act that sexualises, abuses, or exploits a person under 18, including grooming, sextortion, trafficking, and the solicitation or facilitation of any of these.
- CSAM — Child Sexual Abuse Material: any image, video, or other depiction of a minor engaged in or used for sexually explicit conduct. CSAM is illegal to create, possess, or distribute.
- Minor / child: any person under the age of 18.
3. Adults-only service (18+)
The Service is intended only for adults aged 18 or older. Users must confirm they are 18+ to create an account, and our Terms and Privacy Policy prohibit use by minors. We do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to register or use the Service. If we learn that an account belongs to a minor, we disable it and delete the associated data.
4. What is prohibited
The following are strictly prohibited on the Service:
- Creating, sharing, requesting, linking to, or storing CSAM.
- Grooming, sextortion, or any sexual solicitation of a minor.
- Sexualising a minor in text, images, avatars, usernames, or any other content.
- Trafficking, advertising, or facilitating the abuse or exploitation of a minor.
- Any attempt by an adult to contact, meet, or sexually exploit a minor.
These rules are part of our Terms of Service; breaking them is grounds for immediate, permanent termination.
5. How to report a concern
Anyone can report a child-safety concern, and members can do so directly inside the app:
- In-app report:on any profile or chat message, open the “⋯” / report action and choose “Child safety (CSAE/CSAM)”. Reports reach our review queue immediately. You can also block a user from the same menu to stop all contact at once.
- By email: contact our child-safety point of contact at sriharishivom@gmail.com with as much detail as you can safely provide (usernames, message context, timestamps).
If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services or police first.
6. How we respond
When we receive a report or otherwise become aware of apparent CSAE/CSAM, we:
- Treat it as the highest priority and review it without undue delay.
- Remove the offending content and preserve the minimum evidence needed for reporting.
- Suspend or permanently terminate the responsible account(s).
- Report apparent CSAM to the appropriate authorities (see below).
- Take reasonable steps to prevent the same user from returning.
7. Reporting to authorities
We report apparent CSAM and child-exploitation offences to the relevant regional and national authorities and recognised clearinghouses, including:
- The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) via its CyberTipline (report.cybertip.org), the global clearinghouse for CSAM reports.
- In India, the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (cybercrime.gov.in) and local law enforcement, consistent with the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.
- Other competent law-enforcement or child-protection authorities in the relevant jurisdiction.
8. Compliance with child-safety laws
We comply with all applicable child-safety laws in the jurisdictions where the Service is available, including India’s POCSO Act, 2012 and IT Act, 2000, and we cooperate with lawful requests from law-enforcement and child-protection agencies. We keep these standards published, current, and publicly accessible.
9. Our preventive standards & practices
- Adults-only design: the Service requires users to be 18+ and is not directed to children.
- In-app reporting & blocking: every profile and message can be reported (with a dedicated child-safety category) and any user can be blocked instantly.
- Moderation: reports are reviewed and actioned by our team, with offending content removed and accounts terminated.
- Account controls: users can restrict who may contact them, and verified accounts are required to use the social features.
- Policy enforcement: our Terms prohibit CSAE/CSAM, and breaches lead to permanent removal and reporting to authorities.
10. Point of contact
